If you have been trying to lose weight, but have not been able to do so by dieting, there may be something behind the tricks of the stars. The stars are using an alternative method called a Clear Liquid Diet and celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Kristen Bell are joining in or anti diet diet club meaning. This diet has an estimated 30% success rate to help people who cannot lose weight. In addition, it does not require any restriction on what foods or drinks you can eat or drink while on this plan! It starts out with drinking 8oz per hour of water for at least 10 hours a day, then gradually adding in other liquids such as juice, lemonade, tea/coffee without milk or cream until you reach your goal weight.
What can be the steps I can take?
1. The first step is to slowly drink a mixture of water and a diet soda over at least 8 hours of the day. The amount is important because most people tend to get uncomfortable if they drink too much of anything at once.
2. It is important that you search for a diet soda that has relatively little calories or sugar, so look for those with 4-5 grams of carbs in each can. Due to the sweetened nature of these drinks, it should be made with no more than 50 calories per serving (the bottle might have 100 servings but only the top 16 are really needed) and should not have any sugar in it at all.
3. Beginning with this drink, you should gradually add in more liquids to your diet each day. It is best to start out with a mixture of green tea, lemonade, and fruit juice without sugar or flavorings like vanilla.
4. There are no specific amounts necessary in which these drinks must be consumed each day; however, it is best to start by drinking at least 8 oz per hour of one of the four beverages for at least 15 hours a day.
5. Continue adding in other drinks as you become more accustomed to the change and tolerating them better. You can even add in other liquids such as water, milk or diet soda if you want (just stay away from sodas).
6. Work your way up to consuming the beverages for at least 15 hours per day.
7. At that point, you can add in other things to drink such as herbal teas, broth or milk until you reach your goal weight.
Pros:
1. This diet is not a restrictive diet and allows you to eat or drink whatever you want while still losing weight. There are no specific restrictions on types of food (i.e., no lean meat, low carb foods) which means that it should be easy to follow if the foods and drinks are things that you enjoy and eat already.
2. The participant must drink at least 8 oz of water with low-calorie or non-sugared beverages during the day. This means that you are drinking a lot of liquid in total. So even if you have to drink a lot of coffee, tea, broth to stay hydrated and replace whatever liquids you might lose from breathing, etc., the net effect should be positive.
3. The method is relatively easy for those who are already generally healthy, but not for those with diseases or health complications such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease or high cholesterol levels. There is no need to change your diet drastically to follow this method because there is no real restriction on what you eat and drink forever.
4. There is no exercise required to achieve results.
5. The potential weight loss associated with this method depends on how many calories are in the liquids consumed. The more calories in the liquid, the harder it will be to lose weight while using this method because it slows down your rate of weight loss.
6. This method could also be a way of maintaining your ideal weight without feeling that you are dieting or facing hunger pangs or feelings of deprivation because you can eat whatever you wish while using this plan, just at a different time of day than normal (i.e., eating later in the day).
Cons:
1. It takes a bit of time to get used to, but not as much as other popular diets.
2. Because this is an alternative method, it might take some experimenting before you find the combination that works best for you and your lifestyle.
3. This diet might be expensive if you drink a lot of diet cokes because they are more expensive than lemonade or tea/coffee, etc. But hopefully you are going to be saving money on food now that you are eating less because of the hunger pangs (if any) associated with this diet being smaller portions than normal.
4. The calorie count will really depend on your choices in beverages. The more you drink, the less you will lose. This is due to the fact that your body only processes calories taken in at a certain rate, so if too many are taken in at once, they will all hit your system at once and slow down your weight loss because they will be processed slower.
5. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, this must be done under a doctor’s supervision with an OB/GYN who can help you with gaining weight or losing weight if necessary to keep up with the fluid intake.
6. You probably should not start this diet unless there seems to be no other alternative to losing weight.
