In the workplace, a smile or a frown can have a powerful impact. In one study, researchers asked students to serve as waiters in a restaurant setting. Customers were given either a cup with a big smiley-face on it or a cup without any expression. 

The customers received faster and better service from the waiters who had been given cups with faces painted on them—even though they did not consciously realize why! So remember, give your employees a reason to smile, and you’ll make their workdays more pleasant—and they’ll like you more, which is always good for business.

2. Get rid of all distractions in your office space.

For example, eliminate the clutter on your workers’ desks.

Every workplace should have time set aside for these meetings. For example, every Wednesday, all employees gather together for an hour. 

During that time, each worker has the opportunity to tell the rest of the team what they’ve been up to and what challenges they’ve encountered and how they’ve tried to solve them. 

The key here is that every member of the team feels involved. This is a way for employees to showcase their talents and allow others to help them find solutions for their problems.
